“It Was Weird Having So Many People in the House”

I was very young at the time (5 going on 6), so a lot of the details are kind of fuzzy — at best.

I remember my mom worked fairly close (at the Super Duper Grocery at Wherle and Union) and brought a lot of people from her work to the house to wait out the cleanup.

I remember my dad got stuck on the Skyway and had to walk back to work from his delivery van. Took a day or so for him to make his way home.

Mostly I just remember it was weird having so many people in the house. And looking out at those giant snow piles.
